So what�s wrong with just taking all the broken magnets out of the flywheel (now NO charging circuit) and just starting it from a separate car battery (because the on board battery is dead anyway) straight onto the starter motor and just charge the car battery up later separately. On the white connector from the stator��� The CDI module must have the charge coil built into the encapsulated ignition module by the looks, the only wire from the module apart from the Spark plug lead is a dark green wire which is used for the Ignition Shut-Off. Am I correct in saying that the Alternator on this engine (stator & magnets under the flywheel) are ONLY used for charging the battery ? (Some stators have a separate charge coil as part of the ignition system on the stator, it looks like this one doesn�t)
